Thinking about Disney World

In Dreams Come True on June 28, 2011 at 8:12 pm

Here we are, the beginning of summer.  It’s as hot here in NH as it is in FL.  Not every day, though!!

A lot has happened since last I wrote.  We’re planning a wedding!!  yes, my oldest daughter, Rebecca, is getting married on Sept. 3.  We’re all very excited, but many things to think about & plan.

No sooner  will the wedding be over, then we’ll be packing for our September vacation.

they didn't know it at this time!!!

Disney World at Christmas

Brenda here… bringing you a little update…

We’re planning our September trip.  We got terrific airline rates @ $77 each way, nonstop!!  We planned our trip around the airline… I don’t think we’ve ever done that before!  It will be our first stay as Disney Vacation Club members.  We will be staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in a studio room, which is a glorified hotel room.  We are choosing to not use many points, so we can bank/save our points for either family coming with us some time when we’ll have to reserve a 2-bedroom condo OR for when we go on a Disney cruise!!  That will be very exciting… they even have a cruise in Alaska… for me that is my 1st choice.

Our second trip planned is in December so Roger can see all the Christmas shows and decorations.  Last December, Jennifer & I visited & were blown away with the Candlelight Processional held nightly in EPCOT.  I thought all we had to do was eat at one of the restaurants & receive the special seating pin.  Well, we found out there were actually special eating times with special reservations.  The management at Nine Dragons Restaurant were kind enough to give us the pins even though it was my misunderstanding.  There are no words to describe the emotion I felt during the orchestra and choruses performing, and that even sounds trite!!!  There is a 50-piece orchestra and a special high school student chorus, as well as the Disney Chorus and performers from Voices of Liberty.  It’s awesome…

This little picture doesn’t give it justice!!!  Click on this picture, it will enlarge it!!  then it’s a bit better!!

So, we will make the proper reservations this time… but can’t make them until July when they go on sale.

AND, we’ll see the Osborne Family Lights Spectacular!!  Another moving experience with millions of flashing lights and Christmas music.

Maybe we’ll see you there!!!

Brenda!
